For the fourth successive year, New Zealand has been ranked as the world's most happiest, safest, free-est and prosperous country in the world in which to live. The Global Prosperity Index is produced by the London-based Legatum Institute. There are nine components to determine the rankings and these are: economic quality, business, governance, education, health, safety, personal freedom, social and environment. The top five for 2016 are: NZ, Norway, Finland, Switzerland, Canada. The USA ranked 17th.
